Slumber Party w/ Nana & Richard

Saturday night after the movie and dinner, Gavin headed over to Nana & Richard's for a slumber party. Before bed him & Richard jammed on the harmonicas. Then Sunday they went to the park to blow off some energy. Looks like he had lots of fun!! And Mommy got to have some shopping time with Neicey and Granny Pat :) Thanks Nana & Richard! Yall rock :)

I Want to Move It, Move It....

Saturday was a BIG day! and Boy was I nervous!!! I had made the executive decision back in August that I would take Gavin to see Madagascar 2 once it hit theatres. Well it came a little faster than I thought! So Saturday was Gavin's FIRST theatre movie! Papa Joe, Granny Pat, Denise, Dustin, Shelley, Dominique, Skyler, Jakobie, me & Gavin ALL went to the movies. (YES we are crazy for taking 4 children ages 2-9 to the movies together at the same time!!) But Gavin did rather well I must admit :)

He watched (and yes! actually sat still) through probably the first hour of the movie. Then he played musical chairs between me & Dustin.

Finally he went down to Denise & Shelley and they let him get down in the front of the theatre and run around. After Denise had to chase him up the stairs, he finally sat down for the last 10 minutes. Afterwards while we waited for the crowd to clear out, the kiddos got down in the front and danced to the "Move It, Move It" song.

It turned out to be a success! We celebrated by going to Logan's for dinner :)

Digital Scrapbooking

This is my first digital scrapbook page! Not too shabby for a first-timer :)

Happy Birthday Mimi

Monday was my Mimi's 87th birthday! Yet she doesn't look a day over 70!
Let's hope I get them good genes :)
For her birthday, my mom & I got her tickets to a Dallas Mavericks game. Now, you're probably thinking... "What would an 87 year old woman want with tickets to a professional basketball game?" Well, let me tell you. My Mimi is a HUGE (yes, HUGE) sportsfan! She doesn't miss a game of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks or any golf game including Tiger Woods. And she has mentioned to me SEVERAL times how she would love to see a game in person. So we got her tickets for her birthday. My mom, my Mimi, me & Denise will be attending the Dallas Mavs vs Orlando Magic basketball game on Friday Nov 14. How fun is that???? I will take lots of pictures and post when we get home.

(Of course, she had to have help opening her present!)

(We got her the Nerf Basketball to kinda lead up to it... she didn't get it!)

Look how excited she is :)

PS - these tickets say $9 but they SO WERE NOT ONLY $9... according to the Mav's Customer Service Rep, they put $9 on the tickets so when husbands buy tickets, wives don't look at the cost and freak out! Seriously. Thats exactly what the Rep told my mom when she called!!! :)

Candy day

Halloween is officially over but that doesn't stop Batman from still being Batman :) He wore his costume all day today! Including to see my Aunt Anita at the nursing home (where the following pictures were taken) and Wal-Mart. Yes, he was the only child in Wal-Mart with a costume on... but he's 2 and he loves his Batman and I figured "Why Not?". He will only be 2 once and that suit is definitely not fitting again next year!

And Batman's O.U.T.!!

I am soooooooooo excited that Gavin is finally at that age where he understands Halloween! I told him Thursday night that tomorrow after school he is going to dress up like Batman and we are going to go around and say Trick-or-treat and people will give us candy. OH. MAN. He was so excited! We practiced saying Trick-or-treat over and over... his is more like "Trit-tree" but close enough. So Friday morning the first thing he says to me is "Trit-tree I want candy". Geesh. After we (my Mom, Mimi & I) picked him up from school we got dressed and went to the mall. Every store had some one dressed up handing out candy.... talk about the right place to go! We were one of maybe 10 there then by time we left there was probably 100 kids. craZy!! Afterwards we went to TSTC's Trunk-or-treat, the police station, Veta's house and finally to eat supper at the Choo-Train. Our little Batman was hungry & tired!

Right after the picture above was taken, Hulk ran by and scared the be-gee-zus out of Batman. So we took Batman to meet Hulk. I dont think his eyes could've been any bigger!

That's a big o' popcorn ball for such a little mouth :)

I wanna give a Shout-out to Denise for getting Batman's costume and Ronnie for getting his Lightning McQueen candy bag.
