Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeeeeeee....

For my birthday I told my mom I wanted a new pair of tennis shoes. So I went online and found some Nike Shox that I loved. So once I picked them out, I started browsing just for the fun of it. Well I came upon NikeID. You pick your shoe, then you customize the colors and you can even add your name to your shoe if you want. So I couldnt pass up the opportunity to design my own shoe :) and they were the same price as the other Shox that I wanted. So I ordered them and they take 4 weeks to come in. Well.... I got them yesterday!!! OMG! I have the COOLEST MOST AWESOMEST shoes EVER!!!! Thanks Momma!!!!

Yup! Thats my name :)

Look how good they look ON ME!!!

Gavin wearing the inserts that came in them as his shoes! Silly kid :)

2-2-2

Today Gavin is 2 years 2 months and 2 days old. I can't believe it....Its just craziness! He is so smart and so funny. Danny, Gavin & I were coming home from Denise's Mom's House on Sunday and I told him that his feet were stinky and we needed to wash them and he said "NO WAY MOMMA!" It caught us both off guard and we just started cracking up! Then tonight he was irritated at his Paw and told him "Go outside Paw". Here are 2 pictures I took of him today. We are very blessed :)

Fun Filled Weekend Ahead...

I am soooooooooooooooooooo stinkin excited about this weekend :) First of all, Denise is coming into town Friday morning and we are having lunch with Kristi. Then we are going to fart around and get ready for the Early Homecoming game. We will be de-clawing the Ballinger Bearcats for those of you who wish to join us in the stands! Then Saturday is the Brownwood Reunion celebration. It will all kick off (for us) at 10am with the parade :) YAY!!! Then us girls (Denise, Kristi, & Me) will take our little boys (Gavin and Shooter) to do some of the cool stuff they offer.... face painting, Children's World, train rides, arts & crafts, petting zoo, canine shows...and don't forget the food. Whoo-hoo... I am so excited about the food!!! Funnel cakes, roasted corn, twisted taters (with chili & cheese if you please), ice cream, cobbler... OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Then Saturday night is the big Salute to the Troops Fireworks Spectacular and Mark Chestnutt concert. Sunday will be a mostly rest day but at 2:00 we will out at the Fletcher's celebrating Mia's 10th birthday. Holy Cow...I cannot believe that child is turning 10! Man, we are getting old :) So holler at me if you want to join us on the big Fun Filled Weekend Ahead!!!!

Go Horns!

Last night was the Grand Opening and First Home Game for the new Early Longhorn Stadium. Gavin & I went with Maria, Laurie and her two girls Jenna & Jordan. We had so much fun. We waited in line for 45 minutes to get our free t-shirts (the first 500 got dedication t-shirts) then headed up to find our seats. Gavin got to meet Earl E. (well 2 of them actually) and he LOVED him! He was sooooooo good at the game and was dancing to the band and cheering when we would...and of course entertaining all the folks around us! I havent been to an Early game since I graduated over a decage ago and when those boys ran out on the field and the crowd went wild, I got a little emotional. I think its just that I am a parent now and I can feel how proud those parents must be of their kids out there on that field. And how I hope that in 13-14 years Gavin will be out on that same field and we will all be cheering for him!

Snooooooozin......

pLaY!!!

New Boots!

We got Gavin some boots finally. We have been trying on boots since the child was born and FINALLY we found some that zip up the side. Why anyone in their right mind would invent boots for babies & toddlers that do not zip up on the side is beyond me. Babies have flimsy little fat feet that do not down into a boot well. So as you can see I am wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy excited... So is Gavin. The boots are all he would wear this weekend. Yes, we are the family with the kid in shorts & cowboy boots!!!

Why does the child not have shorts on in either of these pictures?!?!?!?!?
