Swimmin'

A few weeks ago we went swimming at the Fletchers with Wes, Carrie, Mia & Bridget. Gavin had so much fun. He loves being thrown in the air and being caught right before he splashes. He still gets water in his face but he is getting pretty used to it. He always wants to "wim" now.

Ready.... Set.....
GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Chillin' after a hard-day's swimmin!

Darlie Rae

Well this past Friday was Darla's last day at Landmark Life. So for her going-away party we all went out to Chili's. This first picture is Darla, Me & Sandra. The other picture is all the girls at work.... (well missing a few that couldn't make it.) Thats Lorena, Brenda, Carla, Cindy, Laurie, Veta, Terry, Darla & Sandra (hiding in there between Terry & Darla is Karen).
So we miss Darla terribly. Monday was very strange without her there. I felt as though someone was definitely missing. But she is off to a new experience in Carrollton (close to Dallas). WE MISS YOU DARLYS!!!! Geesh... this also means I am on MY OWN :c)

Baptismal by Rain

A few weeks ago a pretty good storm came through town. As the rain started slowing down Danny and Edward thought it would be funny to put Gavin under the run-off at the porch. As you can see by the pictures, he was NOT a happy camper. After they were done with him, Danny was playing in the water and Gavin thought that was just pretty funny!

Vacation - Friday

Friday Gavin's daycare had their Annual Last Day of School Swim Party. They started about 9:30 and played *hard* until 12ish. They all brought sack lunches and then took naps. Since I was off I got to hang out and play with them. It was definite entertainment.

Vacation - Thursday

On Thursday, Gavin and I met my mom at the Abilene Zoo. He is finally at that age where he can see and get excited about the animals. It is a pretty small zoo so it only took us about 2 hours to tour the entire facility but its a nice place and is very animal friendly. The sell crackers for $2 a package and you can feed all the animals except the monkeys. We had so much fun!!!

After the zoo, we went to Olive Garden and had lunch. Gavin slept through most of our lunch but once he woke up he ate more than 1/2 of my Chicken Fettucini Alfredo. Then we went shopping for a little bit at Academy and Old Navy. We got home about 4.

Vacation - Mon, Tues & Wed

The week before I started my new job, I took a VACATION!!!! Gavin and I hung out and visited people and ate lots of good food. On Monday, we attempted to trade in my car but that was a disaster.... so I still have my Cherokee. On Tuesday, we went to the Mall and Wal-Mart and rode some of the coin-operated little cars. We are so easily-entertained :)
On Wednesday, we ate lunch with Carrie and afterwards went to get my tires rotated. I knew it would take them a while so we un-loaded the stroller and went walking downtown. We went to the corner pet-store and saw all kinds of little creatures. Snakes, scorpions, chinchillas, lots of fish, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs and some baby hamsters. Then we picked up my car and took it to get my inspection sticker done. While they did that, Gavin and I went next door to Chili's and had a molten chocolate cake dessert. YUMMY!!!!!

FINALLY!!!

YEA! We finally got internet at the house!!! So I will posting again :) And just to let all of you know....my job is going GREAT! The actual work I am doing is pretty boring and repeatitive but with the awesome benefits and my co-workers - it is all worth it! My group, Sales, includes Terry (the Boss Man), Sandra, Teena, Maria and for now, Darla. Darla is the one that I am taking her job. I am not replacing her....just taking over her job. And I am sooooooooooooooo sad she's leaving. She's very quiet so she probably thinks I never shut up but she's super sweet and she lives right around the corner from me. We went walking last week. I get to know someone and love her and now she's leaving! SUCKS!!! But I made her promise that she would keep in touch and come back to see all of us. All the other people on the other side of the office are great too. So I really love it. Its hard for now since I kinda feel like an outsider.... they don't know me and I don't really know them. But it will get better. I have true faith in this job and truly thank God for letting me be the one they chose to work at their amazing company.
